Rocket Climbing

What's Bouldering?

Bouldering is essentially rock climbing without any ropes. Climbing takes place over a soft foam fall mat where the climber travels no higher than 4.5m. What makes the sport unique and why it is so popular comes down to a number of reasons; it is accessible to everyone, it is thought-provoking, highly social, and is a great form of exercise. Train your body and mind all in one activity.

The Climbs

Each climb and problem has a solution - the challenge lies in finding it! Each climb is carefully planned by our in-house route-setting team. At Rocket, there are roughly 80 problems that are rotated every 5 weeks so you will always have something to challenge you regardless of if you are a beginner or a seasoned boulderer.

Problem Solving

Problem-solving for each climb is the most fun part! The solution to a climb does depend on various factors like height, strength, etc. but don't fret, you will reach the top some way or another. Each climb has its own unique way of reaching the top. If you need some tips just approach one of our crew members and they'll be happy to guide you.

Grading

GRADING = LEVELS OF CLIMBING DIFFICULTY.

When arriving at Rocket, you will notice a variety of colors, numbers, and angles which may be overwhelming at first but it is quite simple. To do/succeed in a particular climb or “problem” you must try to stick to one allocated color and finish at the end of the climb in a controlled manner.

Each climb is assigned a number based on difficulty ranging from 1 to 10, with 1 being the easiest and 10 being the most difficult. Climbs are vastly different and will test your strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and agility.
